1. The office of Constable is an enforcement agency with responsibility for evictions, a large number of garnishments and numerous other orders. What previous enforcement experience have you had that uniquely qualifies you for this office?
Reserve deputy sheriff 1969-1983 Elected Constable 1987-present
2. In your opinion, do you think this office would be just as effective as a civil service position or as an appointed office? Would you seek this position if it were no longer an elected office?
1) No. As an elected office I think it gives the Constable a greater incentive to perform his or her duties in a professional manner.
