1. What actions do you propose to ensure that consumers are provided with safe, adequate and reliable utility services?
The Louisiana Public Service Commission has been actively considering whether the restructuring of retail electric service is in the public interest, yet the Commission takes a very cautious step toward the competition. "Go slowly" is the policy in a highly uncertain, high-risk market where failure to act now will not eliminate opportunities for the future.
2. What alternative energy initiatives do you propose?
I believe we should look at several alternative energy initiatives, such as Solar, Wind, Geothermal, and Hydroelectric.
3. What is the role of the Commissioners as it pertains to oversight of the telecommunication industry?
To ensure a regulatory balance that enables telecom companies to provide services, at rates that are just and reasonable, equitable and economically efficient, and that allow telecom companies an opportunity to earn a fair rate of return on their investment.
